Marshall women arrested after reported Wiley University threat

MARSHALL, Texas (KLTV) - Two Marshall women were arrested after Marshall police investigated a reported threat at Wiley University.
Marietta Denise Taylor, 50, was released Friday from the Harrison County Jail on $50,000 bonds for a warrant charging her with terroristic threat — impeding public service, causing fear of serious bodily injury or influencing government — according to jail records.
The investigation began after Marshall police responded to a disturbance Sunday at Wiley University. During the encounter, Taylor made threatening statements directed at the university in the presence of campus security, according to Marshall police.
Marshall police arrested her Wednesday and booked her into the Harrison County Jail, according to jail records.
Police arrested a second woman, Jayla Unique Jackson, 21, on a charge of criminal trespass in connection with the investigation, according to Marshall police. She was released Saturday from the Harrison County Jail on $1,500 bond, according to jail records.
