Body found after crash on Mobberly Avenue intersection; Longview man arrested

LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - One person has been found dead after police officers responded to a wreck at a Longview intersection.

Longview police officers responded to a call about 30 minutes after midnight Monday reporting suspicious activity.

There, officers found a vehicle that seemed to have crashed. When they tried to talk to the suspect, later identified as Danny Bozarth Jr. of Longview, he drove away in the vehicle before he was later arrested, according to a release.

Officers then found the body of Taneka Sheppard, 44, of Marshall, near the intersection of Mobberly Avenue and Level Street.

Bozarth is charged with collision involving death and evading arrest with a vehicle.
