OXNARD, California (KLTV) - The cat-and-mouse game between the Cowboys and Micah Parsons took a different turn Tuesday during negotiations.

“My agent has been reaching out at one point another; a grown man has to be willing to reach out himself, you know what I mean? Like communication works both ways. They reached out, you know, so that has to happen, too. They want to do it on their part,” Parsons said.

“Are you counseling Micah on opportunities and how he’s handling this?

“I think he’s handling the situation really well I don’t think he’s doing anything that someone you know you know wants to be paid. Everyone has families everyone has responsibilities. Everyone needs to secure their future. And you never know what’s going to happen so so you don’t want to go out there and risk injury or something and your family is not secure. And your family is not taken care of. So you know, I understand that I see where he’s coming from,” said Treyvon Diggs.

Meanwhile on the other side of the ball, the run game has two savvy veterans to help boost the offense. Javonte Williams who began his career in Denver. Though Dallas and Philly are rivals, even after two years with Carolina, you still have to ask the question...

“Your family and friends, are you coming to the Cowboys? What was their reaction?”

“They were more excited than me,” he said. “I don’t know it, it was a lot of emotion just like, all right, if this is what was going to be, it’s how it’s going to be.”

Miles Sanders left the Eagles after feeling they were selling him short in the 2022 season in which he had over 1,200 yards leading them to the Super Bowl against the Chiefs.

“Are you embracing the culture here with the Dallas Cowboys?”

“Absolutely, absolutely, even being on the other side as I said, just get used to it. Like I said, take it one day at a time,” he added.

Looking to revitalize his career, barely gaining just under 700 yards with the Panthers. He’s confident that a fresh start and new scenery will do him some good.

He also likes the energy Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer brings to the field.

“His energy is amazing. I am not going to lie a standup guy. Fair dude too, one of those coaches you go to have any type of conversation with. You don’t hesitate to talk with him, even though there are a lot of places that you hesitate to talk to the head coach.”

“It’s the type of guys that we have. I’m an upbeat positive person,” Schottenheimer said.
