TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Many of the best East Texas athletes will gather for the FCA All Star Weekend.

Media day for the Northeast Texas FCA All Stars starts Friday. The all-star baseball and softball games will be held at Tyler Legacy.

On Saturday, the heart of a champion all-star football game will be played at Rose Stadium. Two softball players from Bullard are happy to be in the showcase.

One more time, for old times’ sake, a father-son duo are teaming up. Chapel Hill wide receiver Jonah Riordan and his father, Coach Jeff Riordan, get to be on the same sidelines one last time together, in a moment they will both cherish.

“Oh, it’s really cool,” Jonah Riordan said. “I really appreciate being able to come out here and compete, one last time. With him as my coach in high school, yes sir.”

A lot of dads would envy this situation, and that has the coach feeling pretty special.
