State Rep writes letters to troops

Posted: Updated:

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Longview's Representative David Simpson wrote a long letter on Tuesday to our troops in Afghanistan, in support of their service.

Operation Appreciation in Longview is working to put together care packages for American troops.

And on Tuesday, out of the Longview VFW post, David Simpson included a copy of a letter of his appreciation of the sacrifice of each soldier.

Simpson says he's, "Very thankful for this opportunity to honor them and not only them but their families to sacrifice so much and will miss them we have written a letter to encourage them to thank them for their service as they will be away from their families for the holiday season."

You can call 903-297-3652 to give a donation, or a letter for the soldiers.
