A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing death in Van on Monday.

The suspect, 48-year-old Delano Garcia was arrested around 11:30 p.m. Monday and arraigned on murder charges for the stabbing death of Jesse Lee Hudspeth of Wills Point.

Around 10:30 a.m. Monday, the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from someone driving down East Ohio Street. The caller said a white male was lying in the road and appeared to have a gunshot wound to the chest. That turned out to be a stab wound.
