Chad Campbell, Wesley Wallace, and Alice Hayes were all arrested for the assault and kidnapping of two Wells residents. According to Sheriff Brent Dickson, the two victims were able to escape their captives in the early morning hours of Tuesday and ran to the local Wells police station.

|“I heard that cracking sound as if a tree was falling and when I went out the back door I found a big branch lying across the fence,” says homeowner Casey Minor. The good news is that trees are resilient. “As long as it’s not broken, it will most like correct itself,” said Texas A&M Forest Service PIO Sean Dugan.
