Deuce Vaughn was drafted in the 7th round, at at 5'5" tall. He's never backed down from football because of his size. WR Kevontae Turpin is only 5'7" tall, but he joined the Cowboys in last year's training camp, fresh from the USFL, where he was league MVP.
"I think sometimes when you go through those tough losses or a loss that you don’t want to feel that way again. So, what do you do about it? And, sometimes it’s the offseason to go in to train differently and go after it harder," Quinn said.
Cowboys Camp: NFL Films to make documentary about Jerry Jones
As Jerry Jones enters the first day of training camp with cameras focused on him, the only thing missing is his own theme song. With NFL Films shadowing him at training camp, it's likely they'll supply that soon, when Jones and his years with the Cowboys become the subject of a documentary.
His son, Stephen Jones, VP for the Dallas Cowboys, spoke about the project.
"Well, I just think, obviously, his career speaks for itself," Stephen Jones said. "He is a Hall of Famer, I mean, that was kind of, you pinch yourself then, when he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It goes without saying not only his influence on the game, the NFL, the league, the Cowboys. It goes without saying, but certainly I think a big part of this, too, is the business side. You know, the influence he's had on businesses around the country, and for that matter around the world. You know, how he's gone about it. Certainly, I've been blessed to be around and watch it up close in person. And you do pinch your self sometimes, but you certainly feel blessed, and I am, to have had and to continue to get to be a part of his legacy."
It's been since 1995 that the Cowboys have won a Super Bowl. Last year in the divisional round against San Francisco, that was the furthest in the playoffs they’ve been since the latter part of the 20th century.
"I get enough media; the team gets enough coverage," he said, while congratulating the players who did participate, such as Patrick Mahomes.
Hooker said the Cowboys feel like home, and he's comfortable there. Hooker recently signed at $24M 3-year extension.
