A challenger for one of the biggest prizes on Tuesday's ballot stopped in East Texas for the last night of campaigning.
Ron Kirk spoke to around three-dozen cheering supporters at Tyler Jet Monday evening. Kirk is the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate, running against Republican John Cornyn.
Kirk says East Texas has been good luck for him so far during this campaign. But says he may need a little more luck to be successful on Tuesday, "If you look at all the polls out there, they basically have the race at dead heat, and even the dogby poll came out today, showing it's a one point difference. So, if we can continue to show the kind of election day performance, we showed in the primary and in the run off, then that's really good news for us."
