Cars broken into during soccer game

Tyler police are investigating a series of car burglaries that took place during a children's soccer game.  Victims tell East Texas News the break-ins happened sometime between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m., Saturday afternoon at the indoor soccer arena located off Spur 364.  After the game, people discovered their car windows had been smashed.  Victims say thieves broke into at least three cars and stole items like cell phones, i-pods, even medications.  One victim told us she lost around $2,000.

"I left my purse kind of in the back seat underneath kind of hidden," said Kim Hitchcock.  "I had a lot of cash because we were going shopping after we left here, all my Christmas gift cards were in there and a bunch of Christmas returns were in the back."  Victims say they saw a white car speeding away.  If you have any information call Tyler police.
