Longview asks people to stay home; use emergency lines for life-threatening issues

The city of Longview is asking you to prepare for the "worst case" scenario, and pitch in to help in a crisis. They are also asking you to stay home during the storm, keep up with the news, and not tie up the emergency lines.

"We're asking for people to be vigilant to pay attention to your TV and radio stations to get all the information that you need. 9-1-1 is to be used only for life-threatening emergencies," said Longview Mayor Jay Dean.

Lines have been set up for citizens to report weather problems.

To report fallen trees in roadways in the city, call 903-237-1275.

And in the county, call 903-236-8400.
