Longview Outreach providing school supplies to east Texas kids

From pencils to haircuts, some east Texas school children got a jump start to the school year.

At the Recreational Outreach Center of First Baptist Church, students got their much needed supplies for free. And they say they can't wait to get started this year.

"I like to write, spell, and draw," says Kanyiah Call, a Hudson Prep 1st grader.

"It's fun, I just like it, I just want to come back here again," said Nathan Snowden, a Hallsville Primary 1st grader.

The distribution will continue at the outreach tomorrow from 8:00 am to noon.

All you need is proof of your child's enrollment and proof of income.
