New 'Dive-In' Movie Makes Splash In Longview

The City of Longview Parks and Recreation Department will host a "Dive-In Movie" on Saturday, August 2 at the Longview Swim Center, 1111 West Fairmont St.  The pool will open at 8:30 p.m. and the movie will begin at dark, approximately 8:45 - 9:00 p.m.

Pack a blanket or some lawn chairs and enjoy the movie Transformers (rated PG-13) on the big screen at the pool.  Please note that the movie is rated PG-13. Children 12 years of age and under will only be permitted if accompanied by a parent or guardian in a swimsuit.

This special event is held to give family and friends a chance to come out and spend time together outside the normal public swim time.  Floats, rafts and tubes will be permitted.  The cost will be $5 per person and includes one free bag of popcorn.  For the safety purposes, capacity is limited to 200 people inside the pool area.  Also, due to construction at Pine Tree High School, a temporary entrance has been set-up on the east side of the pool.
