New Texas College President Named

Texas College didn't have to look very far to find their next president.

Dr. Dwight Fennell was named Texas College president at a press conference today.

He's been the vice president of academic affairs at the school for the last few months.

He says as president, he'll continue the college's mission to educate all who comes there.

"We'll look at our academic programs we'll look at the strengths. We'll establish the niche programs that we can share with the broader community. There's some things in the math science area that I think are important to the future of Texas College and Texas College being in the forefront," Dr. Fennell said today.

Texas College has been without a permanent president since last October, when then-president Dr. Billy Hawkins accepted a job in Alabama.
