Tractor Worth $40,000 Stolen From Titus County Job Site

A tractor worth $40,000 has been stolen from Benchmark Industrial Services, on a job site inside the Luminant Energy Winfield South Mine, in an area between Mt. Vernon and Mt. Pleasant, around one mile south of I-30.

The tractor is believed to have been stolen between June 29th and July 1st, after the keys were left in it.

According to investigators, the tractor was probably driven onto a flatbed trailer and driven away. Two men with a blue 1990s model Ford F-150 were spotted in the area prior to the theft. However, investigators don't know if that's connected to the theft.

If you have any information about this theft, please call the Titus County Sheriff's Office.
