Komen Race For The Cure Earns $235,000 For Local Use

East Texans who laced up their running shoes is paying off in a big way to help fight cancer.

Today the local Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure was presented with a check for almost $235,000.

The money will be used here locally for education, screening and treatment.

Thousands attended this year's race in Tyler. In just the last two years, the Komen race has raised close to half a million dollars.
