Longview Planning Another Prayer Walk

Taking back their community - it's a goal that Longview's mayor and civic leaders are determined to do.

Longview community leaders are joining forces once again to rally and against violence.

Longview mayor Jay Dean, along with several civic leaders are laying out a comprehensive plan that would call for a prayer walk in south Longview.

City leaders say together they can bring a change.

"We know it makes a difference that's why we come together and expand our energy on meeting, on trying to work together because overall we know it will make a difference," says Dietrich Johnson with the city of Longview.

The last Longview prayer walk was held in 2006. So far this year, there have been six homicides in Longview.
