Big Rig Driver Airlifted To Shreveport Hospital After East Texas Crash

The driver of an 18 wheeler had to be airlifted to a Shreveport hospital following a wreck in east Texas Thursday morning.

A spokesman for the fire department in De Berry, TX, told KSLA News 12 the big rig was the only vehicle involved in the accident around 5:30 a. m. on F.M. 123 near Highway 31 in Panola County.

The driver first was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Carthage and later, flown by Life Air to LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.
The Texas Department of Public Safety, which investigated the crash, did not release any information.
