A Secret Santa was at Helzburg Diamonds in Tyler last week. Three days before Christmas a U.S. Marine went to the mall to buy his fiancé a ring.
After he paid for the ring, another customer who he had been talking to-- asked the store clerk if she could reverse the Marine's credit card charges. That's because she wanted to pay for the ring.
She wrote a check and paid off the $2,500 account. The "Secret Santa" did write the Marine a note on the receipt, which says... "Merry Christmas to you and to your bride-to-be. Everyone needs a surprise every now and then."
