SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Crews are at a house fire for the second time Wednesday morning after it re-kindled around 8 a.m.

Fire Marshal Connie McCoy-Wasson said the house in the 6400 block of Raine Road first caught fire around 3 a.m. A man and his son were in the house at the time but got out unharmed. McCoy-Wasson said the man had gotten up and was cooking when the fire started.

Crews from Chapel Hill, Winona and Arp responded to the fire and worked on it for over two hours, McCoy-Wasson said.

Around 8 a.m., the fire had re-kindled and crews from Chapel Hill and Red Springs responded.

The house is a total loss and the official cause is not yet know, McCoy-Wasson said.
