TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A ribbon cutting ceremony happened Thursday, in honor of the official grand opening for the new ALDI grocery store in Tyler.
The newest store is located at 2660 East Front Street.
Shoppers were able to sample ALDI-exclusive brand foods and enter a sweepstakes fro a chance to win a year's supply of ALDI produce, according to an ALDI press release.
The Tyler store is part of the $3.4 billion ALDI investment to expand to 2,500 stores nationwide by the end of 2022. ALDI currently has nearly 1,800 stores in 35 states serving more than 40 million customers each month, according to ALDI.
"We're committed to providing Tyler residents with a simply smarter shopping experience," said Karla Waddleton, Rosenberg division vice president for ALDI. "When it comes to groceries, we listen to what our customers are looking for and deliver exactly what they need, at prices they love."
According to ALDI, the Tyler store's convenient layout focuses on what people love most: fresh food, produce, dairy and baked goods. ALDI stores also feature open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally-friendly building materials. The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
