Restaurant Reports: 3 restaurants get serious violations

EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - 3 East Texas restaurants get the most serious violations in the latest health inspection period.

In Winona,

Tio's Back Porch restaurant 407 South Main Street.

Lettuce, tomatoes, beef and cheese were held too warm.

Food products were held without date marks.

Employees seen handling foods barehanded.

Toxic cleaners not labeled.

Flies were found throughout the facility.

Total demerits: 33

In Tyler,

Taqueria El Lugar 1 at 1726 East Gentry Parkway.

Cooked beef was not cooled properly.

Cooked beef also found out of temperature and was discarded.

Multiple containers of unlabeled foods were found.

Flies found on ready to eat foods.

Total demerits : 31

Villa Montez at 3324 Spur 124.

Cooked chicken was held out of temperature.

Leafy greens and cheese were held too warm.

There was slime buildup in an ice machine.

Foods in a walk-in cooler not date marked.

Total demerits: 22
