LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - After 2 years of anguish, an East Texas family looks forward to seeing the court process provide some justice,  connected to the disappearance of a young woman.

In August of 2016,  20-year old Sheryia Grant of Kilgore, who was 8 months pregnant,  vanished without a trace.

Two people have been charged in connection with her disappearance, and they are scheduled to be in court Monday.

The family is hoping the courts will give them closure, and solve the mystery of where Sheryia is.

The Grant family has done everything they can over the last two years to find anyone who may know what happened to Sheryia.

"That's still mind-boggling to me. I really wish we knew where she was. I want to get a tombstone for them, I want to see them properly buried," says Sharyia's grandmother Arnita Grant.

In March 2017, 28-year-old Allen Sutton and 24-year-old Laneshia Young were indicted on 2 counts of tampering with physical evidence, a human corpse, in connection with Grants disappearance.

"I feel good about that, but it still remains the same, we don't have their bodies, but I'm glad that the case is getting started now," Arnita says.

Investigators say evidence indicates Sheryia was murdered shortly after she was reported missing.

"I was glad to see the suspects locked up, it was a big relief," says Arnita.

But the family's driving focus remains the same. Where is Sheryia?

"I want to find her body, and the baby and I want justice," Arnita says.
