WHITE OAK, TX (KLTV) - UPDATE: The White Oak Police Department's Facebook page said the boil order for the City of White Oak has been lifted.

White Oak's City Manager Charlie Smith tells KLTV  that water in the City of White Oak is temporarily shut down.

UPDATE: They're within 30 minutes of having the break fixed, Smith says, as of 9:45 p.m. He says a boil water notice for the entire city of White Oak is now in effect. That notice could last a couple of days. We will continue to update this story as the city releases more information.

Smith says, it's all due to a water main break Tuesday evening on the North end of town near Woodvine and White Oak Road.

He expects it to only take about an hour.

A boil order notice is also possible, but is not happening at this particular time.

They are asking residents to stay updated through both the city's website and Facebook page.
