Tyler man pleads guilty to robbing victims at gunpoint, stealing drugs, firearm

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A Tyler man has pleaded guilty to robbing someone at gunpoint and stealing a pound of marijuana and a gun.

Court records show Devonte Antoinne Black, 24, pleaded guilty in Judge Christi Kennedy's courtroom on Friday and accepted a 25-year prison sentence.

Black was arrested in December after a Tyler police investigation into a robbery at Fox Run Apartments on November 14. Black and Dikembi Spencer are accused of robbing the victims at gunpoint and stealing a pound of marijuana and a gun.

Spencer is scheduled to go on trial on the charge on July 30.
