(KLTV) - FROM THE UPSHUR COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: The Upshur County Sheriff's Office and Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens are investigating the disappearance of a 70 year old male at Lake O' The Pines.

Citizens found an unoccupied boat adrift on Lake O' The Pines near the area of the Hwy. 155 bridge on the afternoon of June 6.

Authorities responded and learned that the boat is owned by Sammy Lynn Lento, white male, 70 years of age, of Marshall, Texas.

Investigators have learned that acquaintances of Mr. Lento had already been looking for him after he had not responded to phone calls and texts.

The boat's physical condition indicates that it may have been experiencing motor trouble while in the water.

It is also possible that someone had exited the boat to work with the motor.

At this point authorities do not have evidence of foul play, but are concerned about Mr. Lento's well-being.

Game Wardens are searching the lake until dusk Wednesday afternoon with equipment that aids in underwater search.

Game Wardens have already made plans for further search Thursday with personnel coming in from the area to assist.
