Tyler PD investigating shooting incident with multiple victims
TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Tyler police are searching for the suspect or suspects allegedly involved a Wednesday shooting at a Tyler park.
Police say three people were injured in the shooting, which started around 6 p.m. Wednesday at Fun Forest Park in the 2000 block of Forest Avenue.
"We have officers at the hospital, we have multiple scenes, at the hospital, here at Fun Forest, and at a residence," Tyler Police Public Information Officer Don Martin said.
What started out as a "shots fired" call, unraveled into investigations at multiple crime scenes.
Tyler police first arrived at the Fun Forest Park, where witnesses informed officers that several cars had been shot at.
"We realized that the victims had already left that had been shot at the park," Martin said.
That's when police found two of the victims, just a few miles down the road, in the 2300 block of Breckenridge in Tyler.
The vehicle involved in the shooting was parked at a home, and it was found with several bullet holes in the windows.
"We have two cars that have been shot up," Martin said.
Martin says two males were shot, and one female was injured from broken glass caused by the gunfire.
The three victims are in the hospital with minor injuries.
The Tyler Police Department issued a press release on the shooting incident at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 6:14 p.m., Tyler Police received numerous calls of gunfire at Fun Forest Park on Glenwood Street. Upon officers arrival officer's located evidence that indicated shots fired but all individuals involved in the incident had left the scene before officers arrived.
Upon further investigation, officers located a vehicle that was involved in the shooting on Breckenridge Street that had several bullet holes in it. Two B/M subjects, ages 17 and 26, had been struck by gunfire and were transported to a local hospital for treatment by EMS with non-life threatening injuries. A third B/F subject, age 18, who was in a separate vehicle had been injured by glass that was shattered by gunfire. She was also transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Officers located a second vehicle involved in the shooting that was parked behind a residence on W. Fourth Street. SWAT members cleared the residence and did not locate the subjects who were involved.
Investigators are still looking into the motive behind the shooting and no arrests have been made at this time. This case remains under investigation and further details will be released when available.
