Longview Fire Department identifies two people found dead after fire
LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Longview Fire Department has identified two victims who were found dead after a fire.
On March 9, LFD responded to a fire at duplex in the 100 block of Cherie Lane. When crews arrived, they found an apartment on fire with flames coming from the roof.
"Crews were advised that there were people still inside and began rescue attempts. Two victims were located inside the residence," LFD said in a news release.
Those victims were identified as Randall Russell and Lisa Tesmer, both of Longview.
A third person who LFD says was inside the home at the time of the fire was arrested on scene and later released on bond after being questioned.
Online judicial records show Kimberly Bruton, 32, of Longview, was booked into the Gregg County Jail on March 10 for a charge of arson. She was released from jail March 11 on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
Longview Fire Marshal Kevin May confirmed Friday that Bruton was interviewed in connection with the case and that she was arraigned.
May would not say if arson was suspected at this time and said the investigation is pending.
