EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - What was first labeled a fine is now being called reimbursement that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is on the hook for.  And Commissioner Roger Goodell is sort of being the collections guy.

Jones heavily defended RB Zeke Elliot on that six-game suspension levied by the league for his personal misconduct. Jones, deep in Elliot's corner, also
objected to Goodell getting a sizable contract extension.

Jones threatened to sue the members of the league's compensation committee; those team owners rang  up a bill of over $2million set to fight the Cowboys owner.

It's a resolution that's been the league's policy for more than twenty years.
Reports Ben Belson of the NY Times, Goodell is set to go the legal route to get Jones to fork over the money
