Police confirm ID of man fatally shot in Upshur County

UPSHUR COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A man found dead in his home on Tuesday evening has been identified by Upshur County Sheriff Larry Webb.
Around 6:24 p.m., officers arrived to find Kendrick Lemichel Jackson, 29, of Pittsburg, dead inside his house on 14000 block of FM 1975, near Lafayette, according to Webb.
Jackson died from an apparent gunshot wound, according to Webb.
Investigators have not yet released the name of the suspect who shot Jackson.
A candlelight vigil will be held Thursday tonight at 8 p.m. at the Julius Moore Park in Pittsburg.
