Student released, 2 coaches remain hospitalized after Mount Pleasant ISD bus wreck
MOUNT PLEASANT, TX (KLTV) - The Mount Pleasant student that was in the hospital in Dallas has been released Sunday afternoon according to the Mount Pleasant Superintendent. Two coaches remain hospitalized.
According to the Superintendent, boys track coach Ryan Stanage is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning. The bus driver, coach Van Bowen, had surgery in Tyler Sunday morning and is continuing to recover.
A visitation for Angelica Beard, assistant coach for the women's track team and PE coach at Corprew Elementary, will be held on Thursday.
The visitation and funeral are open to public. The visitation will take place at the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral will take place on Friday at the same location beginning at 10 a.m.
According to the Superintendent, people are asked to wear black and gold tomorrow in support for Mount Pleasant.
