Lyft brings its transportation competition to Tyler

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Lyft, the rideshare company app that brings transportation options, is set to launch in Tyler on Thursday March 23.
According to a press release from the company, beginning Thursday at noon, users in the Tyler area will be able to request a safe and affordable Lyft with just the touch of a button.
The announcement comes weeks after the company completed its application to hire drivers and servicing customers.
The Lyft app, downloadable to smartphones, is celebrating its East Texas launch by providing the code LYFTLOVE17 to its new passengers to receive $5 off their first Lyft.
Like Uber, users can request a ride and whether you're riding solo or with friends. After just a few taps in the Lyft app, a carefully-screened driver will be on their way— just set your pickup point. And when the ride ends, just pay and rate your driver through your phone.
