White Oak PD: Pedestrian struck by vehicle dies from injuries

The White Oak Police investigated an automobile collision with a pedestrian that sent one individual to the hospital, who later succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning.

On Friday, January 27th at 6:10 p.m. police were dispatched to an accident with injuries at East Hwy 80 and Lake Harris Road.

When officers arrived they were told a Hispanic male, identified as Ivan Rincon Ramos, 34, of White Oak, along with his two sons were attempting to cross East Hwy 80 when they ran into the path of a 2016 sedan that was traveling west on Hwy 80  driven by Christopher Michael of Malakoff.

Michael stated he was driving in the outside lane heading west when he saw two small children run across the road and he swerved to miss the children and struck Rincon-Ramos. 

Rincon-Ramos was transported to the hospital with injuries to his leg and later succumbed Tuesday morning from complication from his injuries.
