LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Parts of an East Texas home were damaged after a fire broke out.
The Longview Fire Department says responded to the house fire at 2:39am on Saturday in the 1200th block of Webster Street.
Firefighters say when they got there, one room and part of the attic were on fire.
Johnny Zackary, says the fire started at, or near an armoire across from the bed, but the cause remains under investigation.
Zackary says the occupants were out of town with family for Christmas. He says the home was insured and the occupants plan to stay with family while dealing with their loss.
He says there was some fire damage in the hallway and also smoke and heat damage throughout the house.
Firefighters say the fire was put out within 20 minutes and that there were no injuries.
