CHEROKEE COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - At least one person has been displaced after a Thanksgiving Day fire destroyed a home in the Shadybrook community.

About 9:30 p.m., firefighters were called to the 1000 block of Brazos Street, off of FM 346, in response to a fire. Lake Palestine, Bullard, North Cherokee, Earl's Chapel and Noonday fire departments responded to the scene.

Bullard Volunteer Fire Department firefighter Kolton Prince said the structure is considered a total loss.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Cherokee County officials.
