Afternoon news blast: Debate fact check

Enjoying another lovely day in East Texas and it looks like the rest of the week will pan out to be even more beautiful than today. It's finally feeling a bit more like fall!

Here are some stories for you to check out this afternoon:

1. Did you watch the debate last night? Trump and Clinton both denied their own words in the first presidential debate between the two candidates. AP put together a checklist of some of the claims in the debate and how they compare with the facts.

2. Law enforcement agencies raided another marijuana grow operation in East Texas on Sunday. The field was in southern Harrison County near the Panola County line. Agents are in the process of destroying those plants today.

3. How cool is this? A professor at SFA has taken what some may consider useless knowledge and turned it into tens of thousands of dollars in just seven days after winning at Jeopardy! Seth Wilson, who is listed under the faculty in the English department, has now won $166,500 on the trivia game show.

4. We continue to see clouds over a fair portion of East Texas today, however, during the overnight hours, more and more dry air will move into the area clearing out the skies. Temperatures overnight should drop into the middle 50s allowing for a cool and crisp morning for our Wednesday. We should begin to warm back into the middle 80s tomorrow afternoon with a few into the upper 80s to near 90, but another surge of cool air should arrive on Thursday morning putting the highs back to near 80 degrees for Thursday and Friday.
