One killed, two injured in head-on collision in Marshall

From the Marshall Police Department:

MARSHALL, TX - Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at approximately 2:11 p.m., the MPD Patrol Bureau and members of the traffic bureau were dispatched to Loop 390 north of the intersection with Medco Drive in reference to a traffic crash between two vehicles.

It was determined that a gray 2015 Toyota Tundra driven by a 35-year-old male was traveling south on Loop 390 and drifted into the northbound lane, striking a tan 2006 Nissan Altima that was traveling north.

The Altima was driven by a 29-year-old male who had a 30-year-old female passenger with him. The driver of the Altima was killed upon impact and his passenger was airlifted to LSU in Shreveport. Her condition is not known at this time.

The driver of the Tundra was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall. His condition is unknown.

The crash is under investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
