Sights and sounds from Cowboys first full padded practice

OXNARD, CA (KLTV) - Through the first two days of training camp practices, the Cowboys were just in shorts and helmets. That changed on Saturday as the team strapped up in full pads.

As expected, the offensive line, which has three pro bowlers in Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, and Travis Frederick was dominant at times. At the skill position, Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams, Morris Claiborne, and Brandon Carr each had shining moments.

In front of nearly 6,000 fans, the entire team was excited to pop pads.

"Today is letting the reigns lose, we kind of uncaged everybody," center Travis Frederick said. Guys are going to be a little rusty, but you can tell there is a lot of effort and guys are out here to work this year."

Cornerback Brandon Carr added, "It felt good to get out here and mix it up with these guys. We are competitive by nature, so its always good at this time of the season to put the pads on, and get to enjoy the game we love to play."
