Sheriff: Man fatally shot in Van Zandt County

VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A man was found dead, with a gunshot wound, in Van Zandt County early Saturday morning.
The Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a shooting off of County Road 4600 in the Ben Wheeler area around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
When deputies arrived to the scene, they found Jimmy W. Stanger II, 24, of Ben Wheeler, dead with a gun shot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.
