Officials investigating body found in Gregg County near airport

GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - The Gregg County Sheriff's Office, along with the Department of Public Safety, are investigating a black female's death, after her body was found along a roadway in Gregg County Sunday afternoon.
The victim was found around 1 p.m. lying in a ditch along FM 349 West, near East Texas Regional Airport, with trauma to her body. Her identity has not been released.
Investigators suspect foul play. An autopsy has been ordered to find out the cause of death.
The discovery of the body has caused FM 349 to be closed during the investigation.
