Louisiana governor announces presidential bid

BATON ROUGE, LA (KLTV) Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal has announced via Twitter that he is running for president.

Jindal, who is in his second term as the state's governor, unveiled a website advertising his campaign on Wednesday.

According to his website, Jindal was born in Baton Rouge and graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1988. He attended Brown University where he graduated with Biology and Public Policy degrees. Jindal then went on to study at Oxford University as a Rhodes scholar, graduating in 1994 with a Masters Degree in literature with a concentration in health care policy.

He married Supriya Jolly in 1997 and they live in Baton Rouge with their three children; Selia, 13, Shaan, 11 and Slade 8.
