LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Good news for the dogs saved in the Kimbrough Animal Hospital fire: it's time to go home.

The small animal clinic in Longview notified owners Stephen and Melissa Brewer that Texas A&M had taken Daisy off oxygen and she is now breathing on her own. A veterinarian from the small animal clinic had taken the other survivor, Rosco, to A&M as he had developed a bad cough. He planned on swapping the dogs, but it turned out Rosco didn't need treatment, so they are both going home.

The Kimbrough Animal Hospital caught fire on June 9; sadly, 38 pets did not survive the fire. A candlelight vigil will be held Monday at 8 p.m. at Gindy's Pet Express at 1611 Judson Road in Longview for families who lost pets in the fire.
