HUNT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Hunt County Sheriff's Department has finished its internal investigation into allegations of excessive force by deputies while restraining a pregnant woman.

Deanna Robinson was 8-months pregnant when she was arrested in April during the execution of a child custody warrant. Robinson said Hunt County deputies punched her several times and pushed her stomach into a kitchen counter top, leaving bruises. The exchange was captured on a home surveillance video.

Sheriff Randy Meeks, at a later press conference, wondered aloud if Robinson may have been reaching for a deputy's gun. Meeks said it appeared that way to him. Both the Texas Rangers and the Sheriff's Department launched investigations into the allegations.

Meeks tells KLTV they have concluded the internal investigation, but will not release findings until the Texas Ranger complete theirs.
