Police ID man killed in shooting at Gregg County nightclub

GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Gregg County Sheriff's Office has identified a man who was injured and later died after a Tuesday night shooting at a nightclub.

Deputies were called about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday to the Platinum Club at 6167 West Highway 31 in Kilgore for a reported shooting.

When they arrived, discovered Reginald Ward, 39, of Longview, in the parking lot of the club with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler, where he died a short time later.

The department says an autopsy will be performed at the Forensic Center in Tyler. Investigators are speaking with witnesses from the club regarding a possible suspect but no arrest has been made at this time.
