EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - A Texas school bus used during a Sunday night pursuit has been found abandoned in Arcadia, Louisiana.
The bus was used during a pursuit involving multiple law enforcement departments, including the Harrison County Sheriff's Office.
Drivers called 911 telling dispatchers that a Richardson Independent School District bus was swerving out of control on Interstate 20 heading from Longview into Marshall.
The bus refused to stop and Harrison County officials pursued the vehicle until reaching mile marker 8 across the Louisiana state line.
It is unclear if anyone else is on board the bus.
Richardson Independent School District says Bus 963 was stolen from a high school in Dallas over the weekend. It was not being operated by the district or on a scheduled trip at the time of the theft. On Monday, the district was notified that the bus was found in Arcadia.
The theft is being reported to Dallas Police Department.
