Sheriff: Robber fatally shot by owner of Tyler convenience store

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The Smith County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting around 8 p.m. Sunday night that left a robber dead.
They say the shooting occurred off of CR 376 and Galion Lane at the Mi Pueblo convenience store in Tyler.
Investigators say a masked man tried to rob the store, when shots were exchanged between the suspect and the store's owner. The suspect was found dead inside the store. The owner was not wounded.
At this time, the name of the suspect has not been released. Detectives are still processing the scene.
