GLADEWATER, TX (KLTV) - Heather Brown spoke for the first time this week in nearly a year and her miracle baby just turned two years old.
We first introduced you to Heather and Sean Brown of Gladewater in September 2012. Heather was 34 weeks pregnant and slipped into a coma. Her son, John, was delivered by c-section.
Sean was serving in Afghanistan and immediately flew back to East Texas. Several months passed and baby John was finally able to come home in October 2012.
In the latest post to the Bringing Home the Browns Facebook page, Sean wrote that he heard Heather say John's name in a faint voice. He said she repeated the name two more times throughout the day. He also wrote that his wife is beginning to move certain extremities on command.
Sean told us in a 2012 interview that things were difficult, but he was trusting the Lord.
"I'm just asking for strength, for guidance and patience. Going to see her every day helps me get stronger," he said.
Heather Brown returned home in July 2013 and has been on the road to recovery ever since, despite a few setbacks.
The Brown family keeps in touch with their prayer warriors and supporters through Facebook posts.
