(KLTV) - Ikea is recalling the Gunggung child's swing due to concerns it may injure children.
The company believes the suspension fittings could break causing the child to fall from the swing and be seriously injured. There are about 2,000 units in the United States and 300 in Canada, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Ikea is asking customers to return the item for a full refund. Proof of purchase is not required to receive a refund.
The swing is intended for indoor and outdoor use by children ages 3-7. It is made of green polyester fabric and hangs from a plastic suspension fitting attached to steel hooks. The full length of the suspension strap, including the sling seat, is 17 feet, and the width of the seat is 0.8 feet, according to the CPSC.
A permanent label is attached to one of the suspension straps, which shows an age recommendation, the Ikea logo, 'design and quality Ikea of Sweden,' Gunggung article number 302.439.74, supplier number 17915 and 'made in Vietnam.'
