These turtle bars are very easy to make, no candy thermometer required!
Decadent Turtle Bars:
2 cups plain flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
2 sticks butter, chopped into pieces
14 oz can condensed milk
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces or chips
1 cup toffee-chocolate baking pieces (like Heath pieces)
Heat oven to 350. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
In a food processor, pulse the flour, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and butter together to make a dough.
Press the dough into the bottom of the 9x13 dish.
Bake crust for 15 minutes.
Combine condensed milk, egg and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Pour over baked crust.
Top with pecans, chocolate, and toffee chips, and return to oven for about 25 minutes.
Cool completely before cutting and serving.
