LINDALE, TX (KLTV) - Authorities have confirmed with KLTV-7 that the body of a person reported missing earlier in the week has been found dead in an S.U.V. near Lindale.

Just before 11am Saturday, two individuals walking along the road near Highway 69 and Ballard road in Lindale spotted a vehicle located in a creek. Officials say the body in the vehicle is that of 28-year-old Elizabeth Hamilton, who was reported missing in late October.

The Lindale Police Department, Texas DPS and Smith County Sheriff's Office all worked into the afternoon hours to extract the vehicle from the creek.

Authorities say that foul play is not suspected in this apparent one vehicle accident.

Hamilton was reported missing after she failed to return home after leaving her residence in her mother's Cadillac SUV on October 25th.

Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace James Meredith responded to the scene and has ordered an autopsy.
